heritage breed pastured pork

a little about us…

located in the berkshires, swallowbelly farm is a small operation that breeds and raises mangalitsa pigs. all of our pigs have open access to wooded paddocks, where they forage for food. we have newly introduced a rotational grazing system, so pigs will be rotated constantly. in addition, our pigs are fed locally grown grain, local eggs, and produce.

why “swallowbelly”? well, that’s the type of pig we raise! these particular mangalitsas were named for the dark top color of their coat, and their soft white bellies. in addition, we have red and blonde mangalitsas, but our original hogs are all swallowbellies- they’re the ones that started it all!
